  • As the Upper School Photography teacher, I oversee and run a seven-station darkroom and am in charge of all maintenance and ordering required. I also maintain a twelve station Mac lab, which runs on G5 Dual Processors, containing a large array of software.

  • Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, assignments and critiques, students learned the techniques and aesthetics of digital photography. Emphasis was placed on the creative use of camera controls, issues and theories in contemporary photography, and the use of digital imaging software, including Adobe Photoshop CS3 and Lightroom.

  • Professionally skilled in small, medium and large format cameras, including 35mm SLR film
    cameras, Canon 30D, 20D, 5D and 1D, Hasselblad 1D, Mamiya Pro 645 and 6x7,
    Hasselblad 6x6, 4x5, 8x10 and 11x14 large format systems.

  • Expert in Adobe Photoshop CS3, CS2 and Elements 6.0, along with extensive use of color
    and monitor profiling.

  • Experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat, Bridge, and Lightroom.

  • Accomplished in web creation using Adobe Dreamweaver and Flash.

  • Extensive time within Mac and PC environments.

  • Thorough knowledge of scanning devices, including Imacon Flextight Drum scanners,
    Nikon, Canon, and Minolta Film scanners.

  • Digital printing expertise on Epson 9800, 9600, 7800, 4000, 1280, and 800 printers,
    including the use of Image Print.

  • Experienced in the RA4 process.

  • Expert in black and white silver gelatin process.

  • Proficient in alternative processes, including cyanotypes, platinum palladium and tintypes.
